Course Curriculum

Module 1: Makharij (Articulation Points)

Detailed study of the 17 articulation points and how to produce each Arabic letter from its correct origin point with precision.

Module 2: Sifaat (Letter Characteristics)

Understanding the inherent and acquired characteristics of letters including heaviness, lightness, strength, and softness.

Module 3: Noon & Meem Sakin Rules

Comprehensive coverage of Ikhfa, Idghaam, Iqlaab, and Izhar rules with practical application in Quranic verses.

Module 4: Madd (Elongation)

Learning natural and secondary elongations, including Madd Lazim, Madd Muttasil, Madd Munfasil, and their proper timing.

Module 5: Qalqalah & Special Rules

Mastering the echoing sound of Qalqalah letters and special rules for specific letters like Lam and Raa.

Module 6: Waqf & Ibtida

Understanding when and how to stop, and the rules for resuming recitation while maintaining proper meaning.

Module 7: Practical Application

Intensive practice with selected Surahs, applying all learned rules to develop fluent, beautiful recitation.

Prerequisites

To get the most out of this course, students should:

  • Be able to read basic Arabic text (Noorani Qaida or equivalent)
  • Have familiarity with Arabic letters and vowel marks
  • Be able to read Quran with basic fluency (even if pronunciation needs improvement)
